Silymarin by Pure Encapsulations is a milk thistle extract that is formulated to nutritionally support liver function.
Milk thistle, or silymarin, is a flowering herb connected to the daisy and ragweed family, native to Mediterranean countries. Silymarin is the main active ingredient in milk thistle and serves as both an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. In the Pure Encapsulations formula, Silymarin supports healthy liver function through several mechanisms.
Silymarin’s highly active botanical properties protect the liver from free radical damage, support glutathione concentrations, and promote superoxide dismutase activity. Milk thistle extract also prompts protein synthesis in hepatic cells. Additionally, preliminary evidence suggests that Silymarin by Pure Encapsulations promotes colon, renal, and liver cell health.
Silymarin is a highly concentrated milk thistle extract that promotes optimum liver function by providing antioxidant protection and stimulation of protein synthesis on a cellular level.
